Thanks to a helpful eMusic fan for cataloguing all the Jazz albums on eMusic that rate four stars in the Penguin Guide to Jazz (7th edition) and posting the list to the eMusic message boards. These lists illustrate the depth of eMusic's Jazz holdings (probably eMusic's strongest genre) and show how useful these message boards can be. While these lists show which eMusic albums got the four-star designation, they don't tell you what the Penguin Guide had to say about them. For this you will need to peruse the book at your local library or buy the book. Another option is to see what the the AllMusic site has to say about each album. Either way, the lists are quite helpful for eMusic subscribers looking to build their jazz collections.
